Meditation is a technique of resting the mind and attaining a state
of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state.
In meditation you help to slow down your mind's rapid series of
thoughts and feelings and replace the mental activity with inner
awareness and attention.
While meditating you are fully awake
and alert but your mind is not focused on the external world or the
events taking place around you. Meditation involves a type of inner
attention that is quiet, concentrated and at the same time relaxed.
The greatest difficulty for anyone meditating for the first time is that their mind has never been trained to create inner quiet and attention. There is a misconception that to meditate requires the mind to go totally blank and that all thoughts have to stop. This in itself is impossible as to do this would mean that you would have no awareness of self or place.
Do not create pressure for yourself about how your meditation should be or what to expect from your meditation. Also, do not try to force the mind to be empty. You should not attempt to give the mind a direct suggestion or to control your mind. Simply observe and let it become quiet and calm.
The simple meditations I’ve outlined will allow you both mental and physical ‘time out’ from the day-to-day hectic lifestyles that most people lead. Repeat them as many times as you like to get full benefits from them.

Focus on your breath, visualizing the element of Air as you inhale and exhale.
Imagine the air mingling with the fluids in your body, symbolizing the element of Water.
Feel the warmth inside you, representing the element of Fire.
Sense the connection between your body and the ground, symbolizing the element of Earth. Feel secure in this grounding connection.
Step 3: Engage Your Senses
Spend a few moments enjoying the relaxation that comes from being grounded and centered.
Shift your focus to your sense of smell, taking a few deep breaths.
Recall a happy memory linked to a delightful smell.
Step 4: Visual Connection
Connect with your sense of sight within your mind’s eye.
Visualize a memory where your sight brought you joy and clarity.
Step 5: Embrace Touch
Feel the contours of your body against the surface you’re on.
Imagine touching the softest fabric and recall a memory associated with a comforting touch.
Step 6: Spiritual Connection
Visualize yourself reaching upward, inviting a connection with Spirit.
Feel the gentle, soothing touch of Spirit enveloping you, and embrace the love that flows between you.
Step 7: Listen Intently
Focus on the sound of your heartbeat and its rhythm syncing with your breath.
Listen as the sound deepens, connecting you to the life force of the universe.
Hear the whispered messages from Spirit, and embrace the clairvoyant thoughts being communicated to you.
Step 8: Taste the Abundance
Reconnect with your sense of taste, remembering delicious flavors and drinks.
Acknowledge the abundant nature of the universe and its connection to you.
Step 9: Returning to the Present
Gently come back to the present moment, knowing your guardian angel or spirit guide remains close by.
Open your eyes and reconnect with your surroundings.

Meditation Two of Guided Meditations and Affirmations Guide to Golden Light Meditation
Step 1: Deep Breathing and Visualization
Take a few deep breaths, paying attention to the sound of the air as it moves in and out.
Imagine the breath is a white color that fills your lungs, travels through your bloodstream, and reaches every part of your body.
Step 2: Relaxation Instructions
Focus your mind on your body, instructing it to relax from the top of your head down to your toes.
Start with the head and move to the face, neck, shoulders, arms, chest, abdomen, legs, and toes.
As you focus on each area, consciously feel the muscles relax before moving on to the next part.
Step 3: Redirect Wandering Thoughts
If your mind wanders, gently guide it back to the process of relaxing without resistance.
Step 4: Visualize the Golden Light
Imagine a glowing ball of golden light at your feet.
Feel the warmth as this light gradually rises up your calves, shins, and knees, wrapping your body in its protection.
Step 5: Encapsulate Your Body
Let the light encase your pelvic area, stomach, back, chest, neck, face, and head.
Visualize it expanding outward to surround your entire body, creating a bright white-golden protective barrier.
Step 6: Expand the Golden Light
Imagine the golden light stretching outward, expanding larger than the room and the entire building.
Let the light continue growing to encircle your town, city, country, and the entire earth.
Step 7: Bask in Peace
Feel connected to the earth and universe, bathing in the golden light.
Breathe deeply, allowing every part of you to feel protected, comforted, and totally at peace.
Step 8: Retract the Light
Visualize the golden light gradually shrinking back to the room, your body, and finally to a small ball in the center of your chest.
This is where the protective, soothing, and healing light will remain.
Step 9: Return to the Present
Slowly become aware of your surroundings as you end the meditation.
Know that the inner golden light will always be there whenever you need to feel protected, healed, or soothed.
Meditation Three of Guided Meditations and Affirmations Journey Through the Peaceful Garden
Step 1: Begin Your Journey
Breathe deeply as you start your meditation, imagining yourself entering a peaceful, vibrant garden.
Visualize vibrant trees, flowers, and fruits in bright greens, reds, pinks, oranges, yellows, and purples.
Step 2: Observe the Wildlife
Notice the birds flying among the trees, chirping cheerfully.
Watch brightly colored butterflies fluttering through the air in pairs.
Step 3: Follow the Path
Look down at the white stone path winding through the lush garden.
Walk along the path and feel the soft breeze gently caressing your skin.
Step 4: Take in the Scenery
Look up to see a clear blue sky with fluffy white clouds.
Listen to the babbling brook as water gently rushes over the rocks downstream.
Step 5: Cross the Bridge
Follow the path to the stream and notice a bridge leading to a secluded area.
Cross the bridge while letting your hand glide along the handrail.
Step 6: Find Comfort on the Grass
Step off the bridge onto the soft, welcoming grass.
Lie down, stretch out, and relax completely on the lush green grass.
Step 7: Connect with Spirit
In this peaceful state, be open to receiving messages from your Spirit Guides and Angels.
Rest quietly, waiting until they reveal themselves when you're ready to meet them.
Step 8: Return Across the Bridge
Stand up and walk back across the field, feeling the grass beneath your feet.
Cross the bridge again, gently caressing the handrail.
Step 9: Follow the Path to Your Starting Point
Step onto the white stone path, leading you back to where you began.
Look up again at the clear blue sky and fluffy white clouds.
Step 10: Find the Stone Bench
Spot the white stone bench and sit down, feeling its peaceful aura.
Know that you are protected from external forces and can return to this garden anytime.
Step 11: Return to Reality
Slowly open your eyes and bring your awareness back to reality, feeling rejuvenated.
Meditation Four of Guided Meditations and Affirmations Nature Meditation for Deep Relaxation and Intuitive Development
Step 1: Begin with Deep Breathing
Breathe deeply and close your eyes.
Picture a serene nature scene like a mountain view, forest, meadow, or ocean.
Step 2: Find Your Rhythmic Breathing
Breathe slowly and rhythmically.
Feel how your body releases tightness with every exhale.
As you inhale, recognize how oxygen relaxes your muscles from your toes to your scalp and core.
Step 3: Deepen Your Relaxation
With each breath, deepen your relaxation, as if your body is melting outward.
Maintain this peaceful state, and keep your mind focused.
Step 4: Visualize the Natural Setting
Imagine yourself in the mountain, forest, meadow, or ocean setting of your choice.
Engage your senses to build a clear image of the scene.

Feel the sunshine warming your body or a gentle breeze caressing your skin.
Sense the earth or sand beneath your feet, or lie down in the grass or flowers.
Smell the salty ocean air, fragrant flowers, or crisp mountain breeze.
Listen to waves crashing on the shore, birdcalls, breezes rustling through trees, or friendly animal sounds.
Touch various elements to explore their textures and sensations.
Observe the colors and shades of your surroundings.
Step 6: Strengthen Intuitive Capability
Notice how this exercise helps you access information through your five senses.
It will enhance your psychic intuition and awareness.
Guided Meditations and Affirmations Affirmations
Affirmations and positive thinking work by attracting energy and
focusing it with the subconscious mind to manifest change. I strongly
believe this and we have unlimited power to change the world around us,
to create the life we want, to draw towards us positive and beneficial
events, experiences and people. Similarly, we can also draw towards us
negative destructive events, experiences and people.
Many of us
use negative affirmations such as ‘ I am fat and unattractive’, ‘I don’t
deserve to be happy’, ‘I can't do that,’ ‘I am a failure’, ‘I’m plagued
by bad luck’, ‘I’ll never be happy’. These negative thoughts begin to
infiltrate our subconscious minds and become a reality. Many of the
difficulties in our lives come from our negative beliefs about others
and ourselves.
Now is the time to change all that, as you begin making positive affirmations. Affirmations can be a major tool in drawing towards you positive changes in your life, whether it be in the form of personal change or bringing new people, things and situations into your life. Affirmations are very powerful tools, so powerful in fact that they could seem to be magical. In fact, they are a kind of Magic. When you perform affirmations, you are in effect sending out to the Universe a declaration or command. And although it may seem that only you are hearing the words, this is not so. These words go out to the Universe. Affirmations work on many different levels. Affirmations affect your own and other people's conscious and unconscious levels. If you affirm and it involves others, you are in a way communicating with another person's higher self. This is when things really start to happen, and results come quickly. The power of affirmations is only limited by your personal conviction and belief that the affirmations are working. If the affirmations are only done half-heartedly, those are the results that will be received. But if you believe completely in achieving the aspiration stated in the affirmation, then it is almost sure to be achieved.
Begin then by using the powerful positive affirmations I’ve outlined, practice believing what you are saying for a few minutes, several times a day. After a while, these affirmations will become the way your body, mind and spirit respond to the challenges of everyday life.
If done regularly and with sincerity, you will soon be surprised by the changes you see starting to occur in your life. Once you intensely believe you can make positive changes in your life and accomplish your desires you must focus that intention, visualize the outcome, gather your strength, and send that vision outward to become reality.
If you decide to make use of affirmations in your life, be prepared for change. Remember what they say, be careful what you ask for, because with affirmations it can manifest quickly. I’ve outlined some examples of affirmations you can choose to take up. You can choose just one, several or all. Or create your own.
I am aware that my dreams and
hopes can and do create my reality. I choose to create a positive and
abundant life for myself now.
I
am a loving human being. I am never harmful to myself or to others in
thought, word, action or feeling. I choose to believe that I am worthy
of love and all good things.
By putting light, and love, and laughter around things, I create positive magic in my life.
My enthusiasm and joy for life spills over into everything I choose to do. This ensures my success at every level!

am aware that everything in the Universe is energy, and that positive
thought; words and actions are attracted to each other. I am aware that
the three steps to manifesting abundance are: Conceive it, Believe it,
Receive it!
